COCKTAILS FOR A CROWD

When it comes to long weekends and holiday hosting, the hostess with the mostess knows two things to be true. First, cocktails al fresco are best-served ice cold. And second, pre-batching your cocktails can save time, ensuring more memories with loved ones. So without further ado, we present our three favorite cocktail recipes fit for a crowd.

SUMMERTIME SIPS

Nothing says summer quite like a spritz. A simple combination of liqueur, juice and sparkling wine can be adapted to suit all tastes and seasons. The Modern Spritz is the perfect mimosa meets spritz, meets aperitif. This recipe works with your favorite juice, although we are partial to fresh-squeezed grapefruit.

MODERN SPRITZ

1 part Pomp & Whimsy Gin Liqueur
2 parts sparkling wine
½ part fresh grapefruit juice

Build ingredients one by one in a pitcher, stirring gently to mix. Garnish with fresh fruit and herbs and serve in a wine glass with ice.

Whether you’re lounging by the pool or taking in the views from more scenic locations (maybe a rooftop, perhaps?), we often find ourselves returning to this recipe. Equal parts blanco tequila and Pomp & Whimsy Gin Liqueur, mixed with some fresh lime juice and a splash of simple syrup, proves to be an absolute summer crowd-pleaser. Because we all know as the temperature gets warmer, the drinks get colder.

LOVELY RITA

1 part Pomp & Whimsy Gin Liqueur
1 part blanco tequila
½ part lime juice
¼ part simple syrup

Mix all ingredients into your pitcher and stir to combine. Leave the pitcher in the fridge until ready to serve. Right before serving, add ice directly to the pitcher. Garnish glasses with a lime wheel and serve in a rocks glass straight up or over ice.

There’s just something about a fruit-filled cup that inspires us to travel. Before you start planning a trip across the pond where the Pimm’s Cup originated, or even to the Big Easy, where this late 1800s classic is served more than any other place in the United States, let us introduce you to our variation. Not only will it quench your thirst for travel, but it will be a guaranteed ace for all summer hosting occasions.

30-LOVE CUP

2 parts Pomp & Whimsy Gin Liqueur
1 part dry curaçao
1 part Italian vermouth
4 parts lemon soda
Sliced apple, orange, cucumber, strawberries
Fresh mint

Steep the fruits in the liquors in a pitcher filled about halfway and keep covered in the refrigerator for 1-3 hours. Before serving, add ice directly to the pitcher and top with the lemon soda, garnishing with fresh mint.
